Re-Opening Winter 2026

For decades, The Classic has served up an uncountable number of pancakes, eggs, melts, and more. Known for great prices, generous portions, and genuinely friendly service, our humble diner grew into a true neighborhood favorite.

In 2022, the stoves were fired up under new ownership, guided by Hudson Street Deli’s Bryan Rinebolt and a renewed commitment to community, quality, and care. Bryan helped lay the groundwork for honoring what made The Classic special while setting the stage for what comes next.

Now, a new team is stepping in to continue what Bryan began—bringing The Classic back and confidently into the future. Alongside our new sister restaurant, Tortilla Flats, we’re proud to keep great Providence food institutions alive, growing, and thriving for years to come.

What’s next? Well, we have a lot of ideas. Cosmic ideas. Do you have ideas, too? We’d love to hear from talented, creative Rhode Islanders who love pancakes. Send us a note at hello@theclassicri.com.
